Worked 12 M-2 P.M. Read, studied & wrote. Supper. Studied. Played ping-pong with H.H. Hanford called up Marion. To bed 1 P.M. [A.M.] Thankful for God's blessings.

I'm guessing a phone call was still somewhat expensive. I wonder if Hanford used a hallway phone?
